Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Navarro in the 6th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Ruisko during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th minute, Romeo Ruisko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stanley Wallace could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Bernardino Pacho made a huge save. 16 minutes into the game, Troy Kennedy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curacao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Graneros the free kick. In the 16th match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy Kennedy to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Curacao's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Navarro came free, but Bruno Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Stanley Wallace fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curacao's protests and gave Stanley Wallace a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Stanley Wallace. 27 minutes into the match, Jeremias Navarro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Curacao's Bruno Barrett. Bruno Barrett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Navarro in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Jeremias Navarro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bruno Barrett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 35 minutes, Kyle Davies mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curacao and the Graneros players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kyle Davies hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After 36 minutes, Jeremias Navarro made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Curacao's Bruno Barrett tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 43 minutes, Rocco Owen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curacao and the Graneros players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Curacao getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Rocco Owen hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeremias Navarro made a kick off. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Navarro in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, Harvey Doyle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curacao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Graneros the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harvey Doyle to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 53 minutes, Julio Hats managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Graneros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julio Hats was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kyle Davies fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Pacho having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Davies in the 60th minute of play forced Graneros's goalkeeper Bernardino Pacho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Curacao's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jeremias Navarro 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Stanley Wallace sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Alfredo Mendiko struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Bruno Barrett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Graneros. Jeremias Navarros short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Bruno Barrett to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Navarro in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Navarro in the 81st minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Graneros booed when Curacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marshall Graham didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremias Navarro in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Barrett saved Curacao from getting behind. When Alfredo Mendiko came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Graneros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Mendiko couldn't finish the play. Troy Kennedy was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Graneros played a much better game than Curacao and deserved their victory. The Curacao players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
