Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Francisco Seco made the kick off and thus started the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Baltazar Clavijo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borussia Dortmund's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltazar Clavijo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the match, Fernando Grover notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Grover, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Fernando Grover ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Borussia Dortmund's Yao Zhan Sang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Cazalla in the 18th minute of play. In the 20thth minute of the game Fernando Grover who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yao Zhan Sang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 22nd minute. Francisco Seco came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Yao Zhan Sang could save by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Grover in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Fernando Grover scored 0-4 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Levander took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After 37th play minutes Fernando Grover shot 0-6, a short shot which went by Joaquin Gayoso and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 46th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yao Zhan Sang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Grover to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Baltazar Clavijo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baltazar Clavijo's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Cazalla in the 57th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Yao Zhan Sang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Grover could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Fernando Grover put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Bruno Beldad kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Grover in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Fernando Grover was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borussia Dortmund's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. After 69 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Grover. After 72 minutes, Tomas Levander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borussia Dortmund and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Levander to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Grover in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. After 82 minutes of play, Borussia Dortmund's Baltazar Clavijo made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joaquin Gayoso was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Baltazar Clavijo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Baltazar Clavijo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. Borussia Dortmund made a substitution. Fernandez Quintairos replaced Tomas Levander. Fernando Grovers short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Joaquin Gayoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Grover got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernando Grover who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Joaquin Gayoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Borussia Dortmund supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Borussia Dortmund would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
