The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 35 minutes of play, FFC Merainies 03's Oskar Törnblom made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! 38 minutes into the game, Ksawery Gongola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 41 minutes into the match, Ksawery Gongola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ksawery Gongola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Leon Craandijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Oskar Törnblom made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
