Daniel Zorita scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ralph Roeles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norbert Skrzypek didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 12 minutes Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ralph Roeles in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ralph Roeles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles managed to reach the ball for a save. After 17 minutes, Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play forced Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Ralph Roeles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ralph Roeles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan de Vlieger was the one to do the kick off. Emiliano Caiola hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 55th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Julias Rascals Apeldoorn. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Ralph Roeles made a huge save. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Caiola in the 65th minute of the match. The corner led Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Emiliano Caiola to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 69th minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ralph Roeles was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After 83 played minutes Cristian Sancho rounded Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-5. In the 87th minute, Jan de Vlieger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Julias Rascals Apeldoorn from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
