The supporters of Mexico booed when Fesport FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Fesport FC's Johan Ekerot got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marta Rey saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marta Rey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Marta Rey made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Marta Rey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Fesport FC got a freekick which was hit by Artur Senna. Marta Rey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 played minutes Fesport FC got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Marín. Macos Graciani kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. When Fesport FC's Artur Senna in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexico's goalie prevented a goal. Marta Rey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Artur Senna made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marta Rey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marta Rey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 58th minute of the match. Luca Rouco got a throw-in 62 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luca Zorita. Artur Senna hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marta Rey having to interfere. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Johan Ekerot hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Fesport FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Marta Rey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Fesport FC defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marta Rey. The Fesport FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marta Rey should have stopped the shot. In the 89th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marta Rey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Gong Chao Feng had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gong Chao Feng was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Mexico's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
