Henrique Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Grêmio Bulls's goalkeeper Henrique Prata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. Romulo Lehen got in the 13th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Dante Lacasa handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 20th minute Rowen Doherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sunday Skinas in the 28th minute of the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Luca Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Grêmio Bulls booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rowen Doherty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rowen Doherty in the 42nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Facundo Cadaval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romulo Lehen to make the kick off. Romulo Lehen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 52 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Mancebo. In the 57th minute, Amauri Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luca Zorita struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Henrique Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rowen Doherty in the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Alfredo Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio Bulls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Dante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Grêmio Bulls's Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rowen Doherty, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wei Shu Gang kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Grêmio Bulls's Henrique Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 67th minute of play. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Rowen Doherty kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Henrique Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrique Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 84th minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Grêmio Bulls had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
