With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luix Nicola saved Ríver Late from getting behind. After 40 minutes Ríver Late's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ríver Late's Luix Nicola did a great save. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Ríver Late's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Luix Nicola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th match minute, Ríver Late was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osoitz Baron to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Luix Nicola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ríver Late's goalkeeper Luix Nicola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Osoitz Baron struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ríver Late. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ríver Late.
