Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Tosta Neto F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Dráuzio Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Luis Andino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dráuzio Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. César Soberano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Dráuzio Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Tosta Neto F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Dráuzio Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play forced Tosta Neto F.C's goalkeeper Dráuzio Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Luis Andino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tosta Neto F.C's Dráuzio Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Azevedo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tosta Neto F.C's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráuzio Azevedo came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Camilo Gisbert got a throw-in 37 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Daniel Zorita. Dráuzio Azevedo came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 41st minute of play forced Tosta Neto F.C's goalkeeper Dráuzio Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and César Soberano made a kick off. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Tosta Neto F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adil Sayfi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Dráuzio Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Agustín Saelices left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, Tosta Neto F.C's goalkeeper Dráuzio Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Azevedo having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dráuzio Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Dráuzio Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute of play. After 89 minutes Tosta Neto F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dráuzio Azevedo quite easily take care of the ball. Dráuzio Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 93rd minute of play. After 95 minutes Tosta Neto F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
