When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 2-0 when César Soberano sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. 43 minutes into the game, César Soberano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. César Soberano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Tosta Neto F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and César Soberano made a kick off. Dráuzio Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 54th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Dráuzio Azevedo made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dráuzio Azevedo was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After having played for 61 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dráuzio Azevedo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Illescas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 63 minute of play. When Tomas Illescas fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Tomas Illescas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Soberano in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Tosta Neto F.C getting a freekick after 70 minutes play.
