Traian Constantinescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Traian Constantinescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gheorghe Cunea went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Gheorghe Cunea came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 41 minute. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Ionuț Drumeș tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
