The audience thought a goal was coming when Sait Nursal got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jens Huybreghts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. After 66 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Mastache. With his leg Jens Huybreghts managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Colombia's Abram Secada fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 78 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Hüseyin Can Orak came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Abram Secada came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abram Secada couldn't finish the play. Colombia's Kevin Mastache managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Arda Baybars Salik in the 92 minute of the game. Jens Huybreghts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The BAŞBUĞ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
