Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berthold Rieger in the 6th minute of the match. In the 7thth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but THB Herrenalb's Klaus Schultz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 73 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
