With an all-out effort, Denizli's Marcos Cotilla threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Serbülent Durualp, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tomas Berganza took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kevin Amado.
