William Enström was slow to take the kick. During this time Idrottsklubben -03's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Idrottsklubben -03's William Enström to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Stefan Andersson might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stefan Andersson ran back to his position shaking his head. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Salkvist in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Idrottsklubben -03's Timmy Pihlwall got a free kick in the 17th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pär Odén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. William Enström was slow to take the kick. During this time Idrottsklubben -03's players had a chance to rest. William Enström made a great header on Idrottsklubben -03's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in Idrottsklubben -03's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristian Törnqvist came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Venezuela's Kristian Törnqvist threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patricio Costa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Idrottsklubben -03 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kristian Törnqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 0-2 became the score in the 44th minute when Pär Odén elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Timmy Pihlwall during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 52nd minute, Timmy Pihlwall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristian Törnqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 53rd minute of play. A hard shot 61 in the game by Pär Odén from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. In the 64th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Törnqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Pär Odén put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. After 80 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! In the 91st minute Stefan Andersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Hääger got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Idrottsklubben -03 played a much better game than Venezuela and deserved their victory. The Venezuela players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
