Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Javier García. O.T.E's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by O.T.E's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Agustín Saelices almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but O.T.E's Javier García did a great save. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier García having to interfere. After 19 minutes, Orlando Rivera made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 21st minute. After recieving a nice pass, O.T.E's Lakis Kazantzakis tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Javier García read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Javier García showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to O.T.E getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Thrasivoulos Stamatis hit a great ball. Javier García made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Rivera in the 32nd minute. After 33 minutes, Ali Ömer Ongu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the O.T.E and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, O.T.E was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Ömer Ongu to maneuver through the defense. Javier García took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Rivera in the 37th minute of the match. When Ali Ömer Ongu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 38 minutes had been played. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlando Rivera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Iosif Glossopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Javier García tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to O.T.E getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Thrasivoulos Stamatis hit a great ball. Javier García showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 66th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of O.T.E's Javier García. Javier García was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. O.T.E made a substitution. Sandro Fonseca replaced 乔铮飞.
