Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis made the kick off and thus started the match. When Alessio Ascoli fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored XMAS's protests and gave Alessio Ascoli a yellow card for diving instead. Alessio Ascoli hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After 6 minutes, Eliseo Noboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the XMAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. 1-0 became the score in the 11th minute when Ernesto Minichiello elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Ernesto Minichiello sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. After 25 minutes of play XMAS's Alessio Ascoli was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 25th minute, Alessio Ascoli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domenico Mantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Tasis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Polidori breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. XMAS's Armando Polidori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Puig in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of XMAS booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ernesto Minichiello came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the XMAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Minichiello couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Domenico Mantini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Domenico Mantini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd match minute, XMAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Comunardo Quadrini to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernesto Minichiello to strike the kick off in the second half. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the game, Ernesto Minichiello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. XMAS made a substitution. Alessandro Vettori replaced Concetto Marinucci. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Minichiello's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute, one of XMAS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for XMAS. In the 77th minute, Axel Tasis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armando Polidori was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. XMAS's Armando Polidori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Puig in the 82nd minute of play. Domenico Mantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88thth minute of the game Ernesto Minichiello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ernesto Minichiello took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1.
