Nenko Reza was a little too slow when Eliseo Mina got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milagros Fraga got free with Nenko Reza in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kıraç Uskan in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Makaay in the 23rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Peru's Nenko Reza threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Julian Murillo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 26th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nenko Reza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Edmund Wawrukiewicz in the 28 minute of the game. Nenko Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 28th minute of play. Nenko Reza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nenko Reza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Edmund Wawrukiewicz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Nenko Reza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Nenko Reza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 57th minute of play forced Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Nenko Reza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kıraç Uskan in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Guo Ao came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 65th minute of play. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 67th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nenko Reza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Guo Ao tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edmund Wawrukiewicz made in the 73rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Guo Ao. The crowd rose to their feet as Guo Ao kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rolando Noboa. That made the score 2-1 in the 92 minute of play. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
