Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Buenaventura Barela started the match with the kick off. Kurt Rosen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 13th minute of the match. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Rosen having to interfere. In the 17th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Rosen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingo Lozano in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dante Lacasa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Buenaventura Barela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Kurt Rosen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 53rd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Rapid Punta Cana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kurt Rosen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 55th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kurt Rosen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sebastián Prado hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Kurt Rosen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rapid Punta Cana's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. In the 66th minute of the match Mexico got a corner.
