Ladislao Bermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant threw the ball into play from the sideline. Warren FC - DMZ's Hélio Nascimento quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giorgian Arrascaeta in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Giorgian Arrascaeta got in the 13th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Benito Sanz handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Giorgian Arrascaeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Warren FC - DMZ fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Warren FC - DMZ's Giorgian Arrascaeta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Giorgian Arrascaeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 44th minute. Herman Söderlund hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgian Arrascaeta in the 55th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Hugo Ferrant in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Warren FC - DMZ's Herman Söderlund. Giorgian Arrascaeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Giorgian Arrascaeta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Giorgian Arrascaeta tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Giorgian Arrascaeta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Warren FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giorgian Arrascaeta scored 0-4 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Giorgian Arrascaeta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Warren FC - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Giorgian Arrascaeta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 0-5 became the score in the 80th minute when Giorgian Arrascaeta elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Warren FC - DMZ's Giorgian Arrascaeta in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
