The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 庄烨晨 hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 石森奕 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 12th minute. 石森奕 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primitivo Escribano in the 15th minute of play. 石森奕 made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but 石森奕 made a huge save. After a rather tough play, 武汉菜鸟队's 高西棋 got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Jaime Pardo made the kick off in the second half. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 庄烨晨 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. 庄烨晨 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. 石森奕 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 82nd minute of play. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. 石森奕 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Paraguay manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing 武汉菜鸟队 to win.
