Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Alex Chicote charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Chicote the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, Zeynel Atabek made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 30 minutes into the match, GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Sancar Aktemur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Cihangir Başkurt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After a rather tough play, GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's Cihangir Başkurt got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 39 minutes into the match, GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Secada came free, but Sancar Aktemur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zeynel Atabek received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Zeynel Atabek slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 40th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tacettin Revha, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Venezuela's attentive Alex Chicote managed to snatch the ball when Ibrahim Kutluay made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeynel Atabek in the 54th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeynel Atabek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Ibrahim Kutluay took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Zeynel Atabek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Venezuela's goalie and right to Ibrahim Kutluay. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Sancar Aktemur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Zeynel Atabek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. The supporters of GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeynel Atabek in the 81st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adem Aslan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 82 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. Venezuela's attentive Salvador Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Cihangir Başkurt made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sancar Aktemur having to make a save. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sancar Aktemur. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. When Zeynel Atabek came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the GeNÇ ÇoTaNaKLaR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeynel Atabek couldn't finish the play.
