In the 8th minute of the match, József Sallói tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benito Sanz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 8th minute, József Sallói reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 2-0. A hard shot 14 in the game by József Sallói from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Konstanty Dzierwa scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 3-0. In the 19th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 24 minutes, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Tasis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 31 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Kornél Hajdú took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Alcocer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Szentgotthárd booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when József Sallói tried to sneak it across the goal line. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. In the 41st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, József Sallói notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 46 minutes into the game, Zakariás Tótfalusi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers József Sallói in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. In the 55thth minute of the game József Sallói who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Szentgotthárd's Bálint Battai. But to his dismay, Bálint Battai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by József Sallói in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rdth minute of the game József Sallói who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from József Sallói in the 66th minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from József Sallói, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. József Sallói received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bálint Benedek who took care of the corner kick. In the 75th minute, Zakariás Tótfalusi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Szentgotthárd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Konstanty Dzierwa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Zakariás Tótfalusi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Konstanty Dzierwa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 minutes, József Sallói made it 10-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, József Sallói left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Szentgotthárd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 11-0. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 95th minute. When Szentgotthárd's József Sallói in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Szentgotthárd's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
