Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Civetta Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Atarrabi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Lautaro Puig made a precise shot to the right of Anthony Sacchi. Civetta Calcio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniele Danza. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Daniele Danza tried to sneak it across the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuele Corsi came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniele Danza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Damiano Longo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damiano Longo. In the 29th minute Civetta Calcio were awarded a corner. Octavio Atarrabi went to the cornerflag to take it. Civetta Calcio's Octavio Atarrabi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benito Sanz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 30 minutes, Octavio Atarrabi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Civetta Calcio and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Bram Cockx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Damiano Longo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Filomeno Garcia took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. 44 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuele Corsi. In the 46th minute Filomeno Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniele Danza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filomeno Garcia in the 59th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Daniele Danza came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Carballo charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Carballo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniele Danza went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 70th minute, Daniele Danza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Rubio during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavio Atarrabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniele Danza took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Civetta Calcio made a substitution. Igor Lope replaced Damiano Longo. After a rather tough play, Civetta Calcio's Bram Cockx got a free kick in the 88th minute. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniele Danza, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Danza in the 96th minute of play. Civetta Calcio's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
