Fabricio Lawrence came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Irrompibles's Luka De Roeck. But to his dismay, Luka De Roeck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Fabricio Lawrence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. A collision led to Los Irrompibles getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Luka De Roeck hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 23rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. After 29 minutes, Rogelio Herrasti made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogelio Herrasti's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Fabricio Lawrence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 40th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 41st minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Los Irrompibles booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute of the match Luka De Roeck shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aimé Burke during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aimé Burke hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Los Irrompibles made a substitution. Roman Salvatore replaced Temelko Kozov. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Los Irrompibles's Placido Aguirre was substituted for Zakariás Lányi. Los Irrompibles's Alfonso Nuxila was substituted for Ariel Baldovino. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Lawrence having to interfere. A hard shot 90 in the game by Tomas Illescas from a close distance when the talented Fabricio Lawrence managed to make a qualified save. Los Irrompibles's players were relieved. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Luka De Roeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Los Irrompibles.
