When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Cheb Saïd-Guerni took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. In the 33rd minute of the match Diego Cabrera shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 34th minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Elite Team's zone, Eliseo Noboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 武青霖 came out of the goal and Eliseo Noboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cheb Saïd-Guerni, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 39 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Benito Sanz was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Aírton Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Lautaro Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cheb Saïd-Guerni succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-0 in the 46th playminute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Cheb Saïd-Guerni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute, Cheb Saïd-Guerni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elite Team's Nader Ghali was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benito Sanz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Kiener in the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Ibar in the 78th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cheb Saïd-Guerni scored 8-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Juan Ibar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elite Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Ibar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the match, Cheb Saïd-Guerni notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Juan Ibar struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elite Team. Elite Team walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
