Ham Kaas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Weather in the 12th minute of play. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Elbert Haar made a huge save. Pannekoeken's Elbert Haar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Pannekoeken from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute Haroldo Weather shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 24 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Elbert Haar managed to make a qualified save. Pannekoeken's players were relieved. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. A throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game was made by Primitivo Andino with Agustín Saelices as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a defensive mix-up in Pannekoeken's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elbert Haar came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Pannekoeken's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Elbert Haar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haroldo Weather received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Haroldo Weather slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 62nd minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Weather, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 78th minute, Haroldo Weather got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pannekoeken's Elbert Haar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 82nd minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Weather, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute of the match, Haroldo Weather tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 94th minute, Haroldo Weather reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 0-2.
