Sleepy Soldiers FC's Balu De Hond got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the game, Antonio Indiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colombia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sleepy Soldiers FC the free kick. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Colombia! The referee gave Sleepy Soldiers FC a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Frits Cromefeldt, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. 0-1. A collision led to Sleepy Soldiers FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Cederique Goffeyn hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Sleepy Soldiers FC's goalkeeper Joonatan De Vlaeminck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. Orlando Tafalla made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sleepy Soldiers FC's Manoel da Fonseca. After 29 minutes of play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joonatan De Vlaeminck was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joonatan De Vlaeminck was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Axel Montenegro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Axel Montenegro really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pascual Carballar got free with Joonatan De Vlaeminck in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Abram Sarmiento sped through Sleepy Soldiers FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joonatan De Vlaeminck. In the 43rd match minute, Sleepy Soldiers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bavo Stocks to maneuver through the defense. Sleepy Soldiers FC's attentive Léo Zanette managed to snatch the ball when Luis Cazalla made a throw-in in the 46th minute of the game.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bavo Stocks stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Joey Babia fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Bavo Stocks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Joonatan De Vlaeminck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bavo Stocks in the 57th minute. Pedro Manzanares was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Balu De Hond capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Balu De Hond really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. In the 69th minute, Luis Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bavo Stocks came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Sleepy Soldiers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bavo Stocks couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute, Joey Babia made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Joonatan De Vlaeminck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Joonatan De Vlaeminck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Sleepy Soldiers FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kevin Mastache ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cederique Goffeyn tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Joonatan De Vlaeminck. An unnecessary self made goal, 4-3 in the 87th minute. Colombia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
