Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Archie Greenwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Kentucky Fried Wings's Archie Greenwood. But to his dismay, Archie Greenwood quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Archie Greenwood had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Archie Greenwood was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Archie Greenwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Archie Greenwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 26th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. Kentucky Fried Wings's Archie Greenwood got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kentucky Fried Wings's Hugh Branston quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Juan Rubio, made in the 30th minute of the game. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Hugo Ferrant hit a great ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Archie Greenwood in the 38th minute of play. If Archie Greenwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Ferrant during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kentucky Fried Wings booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Kentucky Fried Wings's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Tomislav Strahija reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Kentucky Fried Wings's Archie Greenwood. But to his dismay, Archie Greenwood quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Archie Greenwood blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. When Archie Greenwood came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Kentucky Fried Wings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Archie Greenwood couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Kentucky Fried Wings's Archie Greenwood dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. In the 66th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Kentucky Fried Wings's Archie Greenwood. But to his dismay, Archie Greenwood quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Basil Gilroy struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kentucky Fried Wings. Kentucky Fried Wings made a substitution. Son van Basten succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 80th playminute. Hugo Ferrant made in the 83rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Kentucky Fried Wings's Noé Reynero. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Son van Basten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Son van Basten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Son van Basten capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Son van Basten really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Basil Gilroy fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 91st minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Abel Carballo's late challenge caught a Kentucky Fried Wings's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. Son van Basten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
