Florentino Dominix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomás Pepillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florentino Dominix in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 15th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Costa Rica fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! Costa Rica:s Benito Sanz showed great skill when he stopped Edgard Mendiko:s penalty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efrain Moruga during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Florentino Dominix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo de Coba's supporters rose to their feet, but Florentino Dominix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florentino Dominix in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 24th minute, Lautaro Puig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás Pepillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 27th minute, Florentino Dominix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florentino Dominix got free with Benito Sanz in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deportivo de Coba's Norberto Giro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benito Sanz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Florentino Dominix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Deportivo de Coba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Mendiko to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Domingo Teodor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Deportivo de Coba's Florentino Dominix in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florentino Dominix was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Efrain Moruga hit a great ball. Florentino Dominix struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo de Coba. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Dominix in the 56th minute of the match. Florentino Dominix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Juan Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Costa Rica fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! Edgard Mendiko walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florentino Dominix in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70th minute, Eliseo Noboa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The supporters of Deportivo de Coba booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Dominix in the 74th minute of the match. Florentino Dominix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. The supporters of Deportivo de Coba booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Florentino Dominix came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Deportivo de Coba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florentino Dominix couldn't finish the play. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. If Florentino Dominix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alan Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alan Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. Florentino Dominix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Deportivo de Coba's Florentino Dominix got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florentino Dominix in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Costa Rica were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Deportivo de Coba's much stronger midfield.
