The audience thought a goal was coming when Milagros Fraga got free with Nenko Reza in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the game, Milagros Fraga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nenko Reza. Milagros Fraga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Tang Qian Xiong made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guo Ao, made in the 29th minute of the game. When Villaverde Celeste Clube's Roy Makaay in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roy Makaay to make the kick off. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 53rd minute of play. Villaverde Celeste Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Tang Qian Xiong, made in the 74th minute of the game. Peru's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
