Wisła Tczew's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 6 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Elazar Calderon came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8thth minute of the game Elazar Calderon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 12th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Wisła Tczew's Joris Verheecke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Elazar Calderon scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-1. In the 24th minute Elazar Calderon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play forced Wisła Tczew's goalkeeper Joris Verheecke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrija Spalević got free with Julio Vera in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elazar Calderon in the 42nd minute of play. Elazar Calderon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elazar Calderon made a kick off. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joris Verheecke having to interfere. In the 55th minute Monge Mong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute Wisła Tczew were awarded a corner. Monge Mong went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Wisła Tczew getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Nemesio Valentine hit a great ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elazar Calderon in the 59th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joris Verheecke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Joris Verheecke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joris Verheecke made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montes to fire away a dangerous shot which Joris Verheecke despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elazar Calderon's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Monge Mong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wisła Tczew's supporters rose to their feet, but Monge Mong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elazar Calderon, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joris Verheecke firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
