Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Australian Youth Academy's Dani Cochrane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 2nd minute of play. When Herman Heberle fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Australian Youth Academy's protests and gave Herman Heberle a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Herman Heberle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Australian Youth Academy getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Ollie Flesfadar hit a great ball. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dani Cochrane having to make a save. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Australian Youth Academy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. Joshua Secada made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Australian Youth Academy's Ben Minton. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dani Cochrane saved Australian Youth Academy from getting behind. 34 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Dani Cochrane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Australian Youth Academy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tomas Illescas made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that Australian Youth Academy's Dani Cochrane managed to reach the ball for a save. Ollie Flesfadar kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Dani Cochrane came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. But to his dismay, Patricio Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Patricio Costa scored 0-3 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dani Cochrane, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olliver Todman made a kick off. Dani Cochrane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 54th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Dani Cochrane made a huge save. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 62nd minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Dani Cochrane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Salvador Gisbert got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dani Cochrane quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Dani Cochrane when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dani Cochrane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute Jonathan Venegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Cochrane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dani Cochrane quite easily take care of the ball. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dani Cochrane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dani Cochrane, 0-4. Joshua Secada made in the 77th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jose Correa immediately put the ball in play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Dani Cochrane in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dani Cochrane made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Australian Youth Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ollie Flesfadar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bradley Obree made in the 93rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jones Schutt however managed to control. In the 97th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Cochrane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 99 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dani Cochrane was left in no man's land by his defense there! Venezuela's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
