Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Julian Murillo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 6th minute of play forced De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Mike Zoetmulder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk Cardinaal in the 8th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henk Cardinaal in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henk Cardinaal in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes in the game Zé Pedro Figueiredo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Mathias de Ruijter. With a little luck, De Pelgrims's Mike Zoetmulder got control of the ball when Joaquin Prats tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Zé Pedro Figueiredo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Mike Zoetmulder was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Julian Murillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julian Murillo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Henk Cardinaal struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Pelgrims. Mike Zoetmulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of the match. In the 47th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Fraga to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Henk Cardinaal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Zoetmulder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 63rd minute of play forced De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Mike Zoetmulder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 minutes, Julian Murillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peru and the De Pelgrims players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Julian Murillo. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias de Ruijter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mike Zoetmulder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 76th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Zoetmulder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Zé Pedro Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Perivaldo Eger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by De Pelgrims's Perivaldo Eger. But to his dismay, Perivaldo Eger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind De Pelgrims's goalkeeper Mike Zoetmulder, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. 93 minutes into the game, Mathias de Ruijter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rafael Gallo scored 2-4 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mike Zoetmulder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The De Pelgrims supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing De Pelgrims would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
