Mexico's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when 苏磊乐 scored to the left of an out of position Dante Lacasa, making the score, 1-0. Henry Nordkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Ravelli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 46th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lennart Browall.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 苏磊乐 made a kick off. Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the match, Motståndarlaget's goalkeeper Thomas Ravelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 57th minute of play forced Motståndarlaget's goalkeeper Thomas Ravelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th match minute, Motståndarlaget was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Söderberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thomas Ravelli saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 65th minute Henry Nordkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Fredrik Aronsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Motståndarlaget's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. Fredrik Aronsson hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Thomas Ravelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 74th minute of play. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Ravelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Motståndarlaget's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Motståndarlaget's Henry Nordkvist. But to his dismay, Henry Nordkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 95th minute.
