In the 10th minute, Iwo Borcz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dennis Berg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dennis Berg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Dennis Berg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Iwo Borcz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IFK Fölet fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 28th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dennis Berg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 31st minute of the match. After 31 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dennis Berg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 42nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. IFK Fölet's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of IFK Fölet's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. IFK Fölet's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iwo Borcz to make the kick off. IFK Fölet's Dennis Berg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save IFK Fölet from getting a goal against them. IFK Fölet's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Daniel Zorita 54 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Dennis Berg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dennis Berg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 61st minute. IFK Fölet's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Dennis Berg, making the score, 2-3. 64 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Sixten Fridlund came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, IFK Fölet's Dennis Berg got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ermanno Mariotti kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Dennis Berg made a huge save. Daniel Zorita had several of the IFK Fölet's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 70 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-4 score and a disappointed Dennis Berg as he didn't even see the shot coming. Cristian Sancho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-5 in the 76th playminute. Rikard Göransson struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IFK Fölet. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Borcz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Dennis Berg made a huge save. Sixten Fridlund charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sixten Fridlund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to IFK Fölet getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Sixten Fridlund hit a great ball. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than IFK Fölet throughout the match.
