In the 45th minute Saul Filipo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elano Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 84th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 91st minute. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Lorenzo Clementi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lorenzo Clementi really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7.
