Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elias Batista started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind ContraVersão's goalkeeper Didi Tróia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Krum Razsolkov. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didi Tróia having to interfere. Patrick Salkvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krum Razsolkov in the 28th minute of the match. ContraVersão's Elias Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Didi Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play. Ecuador's Felix Montes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Didi Tróia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 37th minute Pedro Luís Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match ContraVersão got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Patrick Salkvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. Didi Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 41st minute of the match. Didi Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Didi Tróia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 50th minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, ContraVersão's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Didi Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, ContraVersão's goalkeeper Didi Tróia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. If Krum Razsolkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 68 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Batista came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of ContraVersão booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Patrick Salkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. ContraVersão's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Salkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute Pedro Luís Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Pedro Luís Batista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. When Ross Caldwell fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ContraVersão's protests and gave Ross Caldwell a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to ContraVersão getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ross Caldwell hit a great ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita came free and shot a quick shot against goal 86 minutes in the game, fortunately Didi Tróia had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after ContraVersão's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Daniel Zorita in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Didi Tróia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
