Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mateo Palacio started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Jim Morrison's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In the 8th minute Mateo Palacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Zjem Cię's Mateo Palacio in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. 12 minutes into the game, Zjem Cię's Mateo Palacio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Camilo Gisbert made in the 15th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luis Andino however managed to control. After some careless play in the Zjem Cię defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Napoleon Jajko. The Zjem Cię fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Napoleon Jajko should have stopped the shot. After 25 minutes of play, Zjem Cię's Mateo Palacio made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Czeslaw Pawlak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zjem Cię's supporters rose to their feet, but Czeslaw Pawlak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jim Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 42nd minute of the match, Jim Morrison got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 44th match minute, Zjem Cię was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslaw Cichowski to maneuver through the defense. Tolek Wojtyna hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 47th minute of play forced Zjem Cię's goalkeeper Napoleon Jajko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Zjem Cię was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olgierd Cempa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zjem Cię's Mateo Palacio got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Napoleon Jajko could save by the left post. Zjem Cię made a substitution. Murillo Cedeno replaced Iwo Cwynar. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Palacio in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Napoleon Jajko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miroslaw Cichowski hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Miroslaw Cichowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Ecuador players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Zjem Cię from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
