The Zjem Cię fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Napoleon Jajko should have stopped the shot. Napoleon Jajko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of the match. Napoleon Jajko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mateo Palacio made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manfred Hönisch hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Mateo Palacio scored 3-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mateo Palacio in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Zjem Cię getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Cyprian Cwojdak hit a great ball. Zjem Cię's Murillo Cedeno was substituted for Iwo Cwynar. Cyprian Cwojdak kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Zjem Cię's Mateo Palacio got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zjem Cię's Lino Orešar was substituted for Jim Morrison. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Palacio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Zjem Cię had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
