Axel Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clive Holloway read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Yu Jie Xing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clive Holloway saved Staffordshire Terrier FC from getting behind. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Staffordshire Terrier FC's Clive Holloway got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Yu Jie Xing kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Abram Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clive Holloway having to interfere. The supporters of Staffordshire Terrier FC booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Staffordshire Terrier FC's Yu Jie Xing sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yu Jie Xing in the 48th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Yu Jie Xing made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Yu Jie Xing reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Manzanares. The goal made the score 2-3. Clive Holloway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 59th minute, Orlando Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yu Jie Xing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Colombia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Yu Jie Xing scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Manzanares, making the score, 2-4. In the 68th minute Yu Jie Xing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 69 minutes, Matt Sullivan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Staffordshire Terrier FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matt Sullivan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. In the 72nd match minute, Staffordshire Terrier FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrew Harrison to maneuver through the defense. Staffordshire Terrier FC made a substitution. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Sullivan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clive Holloway made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Mastache in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clive Holloway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Alex Zanardi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alex Zanardi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Staffordshire Terrier FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
