In the 19th minute, Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Luis Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 27th minute of play. Colombia's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Corneliu Dridu 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Omid Kaulbach received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Manzanares came out and tried to block the shot, but Omid Kaulbach slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 32nd minute. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omid Kaulbach in the 35th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan. Celso Trevisan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dr Lecter SC were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mauro Romero took the corner. When Pascual Carballar fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colombia's protests and gave Pascual Carballar a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Pascual Carballar got a free kick in the 46th minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Omid Kaulbach managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dr Lecter SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omid Kaulbach was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Corneliu Dridu to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Santino Seco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Celso Trevisan. The goal made the score 3-3. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Celso Trevisan made a huge save. Dr Lecter SC's Laércio Guedes was substituted for Lauro Antunes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Celso Trevisan in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 68th minute of play. Celso Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omid Kaulbach in the 73rd minute of play. Celso Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Axel Montenegro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Celso Trevisan. Axel Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-5. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro.
