The Fomac FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Lindar Månsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Erland Söderberg in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 38th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Fomac FK's Flóki Ólafsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, Armando Paraibano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 2-3. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erland Söderberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Nässén charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Nässén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fomac FK getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Daniel Nässén hit a great ball. After 69 played minutes, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erland Söderberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Venezuela reached it. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fomac FK's Erland Söderberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 70th minute of play. Rikard Smefeldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando Paraibano might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armando Paraibano ran back to his position shaking his head. Fomac FK's Peder Rolfsson got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Fomac FK failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
