The crowd rose to their feet as Gianluca Scamacca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-1 in the 19 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slawomir Wojciechowski in the 23rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaw Fafinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 24th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gianluca Scamacca's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Gustaw Fafinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's Stig Rødal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig Rødal in the 38th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaw Fafinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 40th minute. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Gustaw Fafinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 48th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. Salvador Gisbert was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gianluca Scamacca in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Gustaw Fafinski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 59th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60th minute of the match, Tomas Illescas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gustaw Fafinski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 64 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianluca Scamacca in the 67th minute of play. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gianluca Scamacca in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Gianluca Scamacca put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. After having played for 80 minutes, Gianluca Scamacca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gianluca Scamacca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gustaw Fafinski could save by the left post. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Slawomir Wojciechowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's supporters crossed their fingers, but Slawomir Wojciechowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claude Makélélé didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slawomir Wojciechowski in the 87th minute of the match. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gustaw Fafinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Gianluca Scamacca notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gustaw Fafinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
