Te Moriste en Madrid's Emilio Gelacio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rene Indartsu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mark Schwarzer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Osmundo in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 71 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. 72 minutes into the match, Te Moriste en Madrid's Rene Indartsu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Indartsu in the 75th minute of play. Rene Indartsu scored 4-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 80 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mark Schwarzer was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 88 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Te Moriste en Madrid's Mark Schwarzer got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Te Moriste en Madrid's Mark Schwarzer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Te Moriste en Madrid from getting a goal against them. 93 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Guilabertus came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Te Moriste en Madrid's corner Emilio Gelacio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. The Te Moriste en Madrid players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
