In the 19th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Giannakopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. pamponiros's Fanis Giannakopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 20th minute of play. Fondas Zachakis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Dante Lacasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Joel Gaona scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fanis Giannakopoulos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fanis Giannakopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 29th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tito Villalba in the 32nd minute of play. But to his dismay, Fondas Zachakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to pamponiros getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tito Villalba in the 65th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Fanis Giannakopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fanis Giannakopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fanis Giannakopoulos made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. pamponiros's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fanis Giannakopoulos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 82 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Natanael came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to pamponiros getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Koulis Giotakis hit a great ball. In the 84th minute of the match, Joel Gaona got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fanis Giannakopoulos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 88th minute, Tito Villalba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The pamponiros fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
