Danilo Illart made in the 30th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gerardo Chabier however managed to control. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Milagros Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Milagros Fraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Uchiha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Uchiha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristo Rey, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Joaquin Prats hit a great ball. In the 47th match minute, R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Ofelio to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Rey came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tony Uchiha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Danilo Illart, made in the 89th minute of the game. The supporters of Peru booed when R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Ortzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's goalkeeper Tony Uchiha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tony Uchiha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milagros Fraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Although Peru had been in control for most of the match, R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И still came away with the win.
