The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo José got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulo José kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Célio Lira during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Venezuela a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tomas Illescas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ique Football Club's Dé Andrade. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Aloísio da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Aloísio da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Aloísio da Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ique Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 43 minutes of play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dé Andrade was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aloísio da Costa to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Paulo José shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Honrio Carretero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 60 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Honrio Carretero came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ique Football Club's Denílson Paulista was substituted for Paulo José. Ique Football Club's Victor Pontes was substituted for Nixon Richards. Venezuela were furious when Camilo Gaos was red carded, 68 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honrio Carretero in the 77th minute of play. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dé Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yaseen Bo Hamad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Rigoberto Mina's late challenge caught a Ique Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Mina helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yaseen Bo Hamad scored 5-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ique Football Club's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
