Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Anton Negru, made in the 5th minute of the game. With his leg Mihăiţă Frânculescu managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Balaceanu UFC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Emil Ardelean hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mihăiţă Frânculescu. Mihăiţă Frânculescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Maximiliano Escribano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Mihăiţă Frânculescu made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Aliuta in the 24th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Alberto Gisbert hit a great ball. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Gisbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Kevin Carballal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Mihăiţă Frânculescu made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Alberto Gisbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octav Bologan kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mihăiţă Frânculescu saved Balaceanu UFC from getting behind. In the 68th minute, Francisco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihăiţă Frânculescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arturo Carvallo's late challenge caught a Balaceanu UFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arturo Carvallo helped the player get up and apologised. After 76 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Carvallo. In the 78th minute, Francisco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihăiţă Frânculescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Anton Negru in the 84 minute of the game. Alex Aliuta struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balaceanu UFC. When Uruguay's Francisco Seco in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Balaceanu UFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Maximiliano Escribano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihăiţă Frânculescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Uruguay had played much better football throughout.
