Ferdi Saksø came free with the goalkeeper in the 4th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lautaro Navarro could save by the left post. Nilson Freire charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Honduras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Luiz Fabiano Pombal scored to the left of an out of position Lautaro Navarro, making the score, 2-0. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Ahmet Reha Pekel sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Carlos Augusto Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 28th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Scherbaum in the 33rd minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Reha Pekel came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Otto Scherbaum fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zemantauskas FC's protests and gave Otto Scherbaum a yellow card for diving instead. Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 53rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Ferdi Saksø sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. In the 62nd match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Villa to maneuver through the defense. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Carlos Augusto Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Augusto Arósio was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Otto Scherbaum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdi Saksø came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio got control of the ball when Edmundo Espiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Esteban Carvallo fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Esteban Carvallo a yellow card for diving instead. Luiz Fabiano Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 5-0 became the score in the 90th minute when Ahmet Reha Pekel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Ahmet Reha Pekel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zemantauskas FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
