Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tạ Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aloyzas Valys. Moose Knuckles were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sonic Ball took the corner. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Li Lin. Li Lin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Li Lin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jedrzej Beninda in the 33rd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 44th minute of play forced Moose Knuckles's goalkeeper Li Lin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 54th minute, Vecdet Baştürk made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 59 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Vecdet Baştürk came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sonic Ball was slow to take the kick. During this time Moose Knuckles's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Sonic Ball got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thiago Pliego quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute Wiktor Kjellqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Moose Knuckles's goalkeeper Li Lin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Orlando Casaus came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Casaus couldn't finish the play. Moose Knuckles's Jaunius Balčaitis was substituted for Aloyzas Valys. Moose Knuckles made a substitution. Bernardas Eidintas replaced Venancio Nardo. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vecdet Baştürk in the 76th minute of play. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaunius Balčaitis in the 78th minute of play. Jaunius Balčaitis hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Li Lin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Alan Tamayo. In the 88th minute of the match Sonic Ball shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Pliego showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute, Alan Tamayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
